THANKS TO ALL WHO ENTERED!  IT WAS A GREAT TURNOUT!

HERE'S THE FIRST EVER, ONE OF A KIND, 2014 JIMBO CRIMMIS HOOK CONTEST
AND WE HAVE A FIRST EVER, ONE OF A KIND HOOK TO GIVE AWAY!
CAN YOU SEE THE CROCHET HOOK IN THIS PICTURE???

HAVE YOU BEEN NAUGHTY OR NICE??  NICE?  A LITTLE OF BOTH??  OH GOOD!!!!  I'LL SHOW YOU........

This first of it's kind Jimbo Crimmis Hook could be yours!  To enter the contest, simply comment on this post or if blogger won't let you, just click on... Crimmis Hook 2014  .... I'll post your entry for you.

Rules:
One entry per person, please.
Followers of this blog get two entries IF you tell me in your comment or email that you are a follower AND you really are.
Contest ends Wednesday, Dec. 17th at 10pm Pacific Time.
The winner will be selected at random, but I REALLY like to have comments.

Oh! I don't mean to upstage the auction in the post below.  But there's only one day left for bids (it ends Dec 3 at 10pm) and I wanted to get this contest going as quickly as possible.

Oh yeah about the hook.  That's a very real glass Crimmis light bulb and I made the wood of.... you guessed it..... APPLE.  Physical details dont' matter but just so's you know, the assembled hook and stand are about 7 inches tall and the hook itself is 5 5/8 inches long.  Sizewise it's 7.5mm.   The hook is fully functional and comfy to use (crochets very like an egg hook) but remember it is a glass bulb so be gentle.

Now dash away dash away dash away all... and enter !

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!

JIMBO

Oh, My, Gracious! this hook is beautiful. Very creative use of bulb. Oh, dear, it's very hard typing with these stitches and bandage on my finger.

Thanks for sharing!

BayouGramma here! I been good! I love those hooks. Reminds me of the craft my Dad could make. He passed away in 1997 but I could just imagine him saying, "I can do that!" :D

What a beautiful hook. I rarely see the big lights anymore and I always loved them as a kid.

I thought I had been a follower, but with the odd challenges of Blogger it appears I wasn't so I am now.

How could you NOT be happy with a unique hook like this? Every time you picked it up and started working with it, you would know that you are holding the work of an artist!! Oh, and the whole naughty or nice thing? Doesn't it all depend on the perspective of the person being asked?! I'm counting on Santa to turn a blind eye to my condition - LOL!

Jimbo said...

What a beautiful hook! I can feel the smooth wood in my hand. I have only ever crocheted with the old standard hooks, but would love to try one of yours.

It's beautiful, the green goes so nicely with the wood.

Maureen said...

I almost hope I don't win it, because the glass bulb would shatter on the tiles, and I would be too frightened to use it! - but it is beautiful, and I really don't mean any of the above......so please enter me.

Jimbo said...

Yes it is glass and yes it could shatter on tiles, or any hard surface. But it's replaceable. Just take care that it doesn't shatter in your hand. Not sure how that could happen, but winner take care, please.

Hi, Jimbo! Thanks for giving away this awesome hook. It's a size that I'm lacking so in addition to it's intrinsic awesomeness it would fill in a hole in my hook collection. I do follow your blog. I checked to make sure and was shocked (shocked I say!) that I didn't so I signed right up.
