When the Moon Comes Over the Mountain...

Played hooky this past weekend. Went up to the crick with my good friends Jack and Dick (Jessica's Dad) and had an incredible time!
Went up Friday to get things ready for the guys' arrival Saturday morning... did some wood cutting for the stove, and after splitting and stacking it was going on evening. So while sitting and resting on the porch (yes "Jimbo's Front Porch")... Well it was just too pretty not to pass on. The moon was just peeking up over the mountains, and I just sat there awestruck for a few seconds before realizing that I'd best run and get the camera before the old fella cleared the treetops. It had moved almost all the way over the mountains when i was able to drag my sorry bones back to the porch and snap this picture.
What an awe inspiring moment. Twasn't more than a couple minutes (I could actually see the motion) and the moon just fairly bounded over the mountains. The night was cold and crisp (28 degrees Fahrenheit) and the Moon was so bright, I could see the whole meadow.
Life's good.
Thanks for dropping by!
