TRAVELING HOOK III, MAKING ITS WAY SOON TO FIND A CURE FOR FRIEDREICHS ATAXIA

(just a shot of Deadman Crick i took yesterday.. lots of snow up there!)

Attention Crochetiers... Crocheting FA away

You know there are kind hearted people in this world, and one of the kindest I'm aware of goes by "Angelfire" over in Crochetville. Talk about living up to her name! She has started a brand new blog supporting a traveling hook (that i've yet to make but believe me i will and it will be my very best effort).

You can visit it at

http://www.travelinghook3.blogspot.com/

The objective of this adventure is to raise awareness of Friedreich's Ataxia, and to help researchers find treatments and a cure. There's more info about FA at

http://www.curefa.org/

Please pay a visit to the Traveling hook III blog and sign up to participate.

Also, Melissa and Donna have teamed up too, and have started a crochet project to be auctioned off with proceeds to go to FA research!! Check them at

and

Oh and see what Megan's auctioning on her new blog... click on

http://laughlovehook.webs.com/index.htm/ and look under the heading "Hookers Anomonous". Just fantastic.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Jimbo, I am so glad to have found your blog. I was wondering how you came to be involved with FA and FARA. My niece is a FA patient, and FA research and awareness is one of the things that I am passionate about. I made a quilt and raffled it off back at the end of November/early December. It raised $380.00 which I thought was pretty good for a first try. I would love to be involved with the traveling hook project or to donate a square, I'm just not sure exactly how it all works.

I have to really commend you for your willingness to help these kids. This research is so vital!
