See why I've been tardy?

This is the county road that passes through the Ranch. Picture was taken this Tuesday morning at about 9am. It was 21 degrees out and the snow as you can see was fresh. I was alone and the only sound was the squeek of snow under my boots. I just wandered around in awe for a couple hours full of Kodak moments. This particular scene was taken at a time when the sun was at just the right angle to turn the snow sky blue and the sky skyer blue.

Ever read Robert Frost? Remember "The Road Not Taken"?


"TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

I'm hoping Mr. Frost wouldn't mind my quoting his poem here. But it came to mind while I was standing there wondering if I too might have taken the road less traveled by.



So I wanted to show you where I've been, and take you along as best I can.
