8 MORE: BIDDING CLOSED.. WINNERS BELOW
(IMAGE IS CLICKABLE)
WHEW!! Bids are closed and the winners are listed below. Winners please email me with your mailing address and i'll give you my mailing address for payment.
Thanks so much for your generous bids. Those who didn't get the high bid, please note that the Easter Egg hook auction is still open... and I'll be posting another batch VERY soon.
Also watch for another hook give away coming soon to a jimbo blog near you.....
We'll consider the hooks from left to right and number them 1 - 8 (clever huh)
Ok #1 is a Tamarack hook from the crick. Amazingly fine grain and light weight, this beauty has no Thumb rest (unless you want me to carve one in) and is an M sizewise and about 7 1/2" long.
#2 is made from the trusty old Bush Maple from up on the crick. Its an H and is turned with a unique grip. Oh and its about 7 5/8" long.
#3 is Mountain Ash (from a Colville tree, near to the crick). Its a J and is 6 3/4" long.
#4 is Yew (not from the ranch... got some sticks from my generous Nephew, Gair). Its an M and is 7 1/4" long.
#5 is another Mt. Ash (but from a different place on the tree, see?) Its a K and is 7 1/2" long.
#6 is Bush Maple, hand carved with some REALLY interesting bark left on the handle. Its about a 6 1/4mm (between a J and a K) and is 7" long.
#7 is a whittled Apple from the good old apple tree up on the ranch, and its pretty close to an L that's about 7 1/4" long; and
#8 is another Bush Maple from the crick and it a 7mm (between a K and L) and is 7 3/4" long.
