Sorry i'm late announcing the winner, but what can I say... I'm slow. Went up to the crick today. Very cold crisp and beautiful out. I can't wait till the cabin's in and we can spend days like this up there.
So anyways, congratulations Kel on winning the Nostepinde. Use it in good health.
And thank you everyone who entered! And come back soon, i have a feeling there'll be another something up for free soon.
Jimbo
Everyone's been so nice to me, its time again to do something nice back. So i'm going to give this nosty away to someone.
So how do i pick who gets it?
Ok, I'll do a drawing from everyone who adds a comment to this entry. How's that?
And I'll do the drawing at 10pm Pacific Deadman Crick time on Holloween night.
Let the entries begin!
And thanks everyone again for all your kindness.
Jimbo
PS This Nostepinde was made on my little lathe, of a really special Deadman Crick Bush Maple branch that was one of a few dead branches in an otherwise beautiful bush that's now showing some wonderous colored fall leaves. Its about 10" long and I finished it with beeswax... it even has a bit of sweet honey aroma.

Jimbo, as always you have out done yourself!!! I would love to be entered into your contest! (Have I mentioned just how much I love my Jimbo hook?)
That is beautiful! I someday hope to own a Jimbo hook *daydreams*. Great work on all! :o)
What a beautiful bit of wood and carved to perfection. I have no idea what a Nostepinde is... a boomerang without a bend? Does this mean if I win it I can keep it cos it sure as heck wont come back? I want to smell it as I sence it has a very soothing aroma.
Jimbo, I was just looking at your blog the other day and was awestruck at your beautiful hooks. I would just loooooove to have my very own!
Great blog, by the way.......
Lisa
Absolutely gorgeous! It's going to make some yarn addict very happy :)
Super cool! I have never used a nostepinde.
Wow, you have out done yourself Jimbo. What a beautiful piece of wood you used for the Nostepinde. You are very talented.
Another work of art ! It shows that you really love to work with wood.
Now let me wish everyone good luck and cross my fingers that I'm the one that wins :)
That turned out wonderful. You are sure getting creative with your turning. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Jimbo, that is some fine nostepinde-age you got going there... don't know what I'd use it for, but sure is purdy! Keep up the great work!

The Nostepinde looks beautiful! I get to try one of your hooks when the traveling hook gets to me. I can't wait:)
How is it, Jimbo, that each and every thing that you make is more beautiful than the last?
Beautiful! I would love the chance to try your work, thanks for this chance!
She certainly is a beauty, Jimbo! Please put my name in the pot! :)
What a beautiful piece, Jimbo!
Never used a nosepindle.. But I'm on my way to look it up..
Just want to say that you are doing a great job with your lathe.
Jimbo,
I am just in awe of your talent. Each & every one of your creations turn out beautiful. This Nostepinde is just another example of that.
I love your blog by the way!
ooh...count me in...drool drool!
Count me in!
That is so pretty, you did a great job.
I too did not know what a Nostepinde was but now I do.
After the winner gets this one will you be making more? I would love one. Just think, no more tangled batches of left overs and no more cats chasing the yarn when I have to let it roll around on the cardboard I have to use when it's not a pull up.
Jimbo, The hook is beautiful. I've heard everyone rave about your hooks and have often thought that perhaps one of your hooks would be less stress on my fingers and wrist.
Pick me!!! :o)
Blessings,
Theresa
Thats some awesome handiwork!!! Enter me into the contest please. I would love to wind yarn on that.
:)
Love the newest baby. Took a spinning workshop last weekend, now need more toys. I'm happy.
Jimbo your hooks are definitely my favorite...whoever gets this one is a very lucky lady or gentleman...
back form yarn school am I too late for the contest? It's gorgeous Jimbo!
Jimbo, you are so good at your art! I wish one day I could own one of your hooks (found out about them at Crochetville), I'm in love with them.
I would love to be entered in your contest, Thanks!!
You have an amazing talent. Keep up the good work and add my name to the contest.
Hooklady
That is so beautiful ! I'd love to be in the contest too please. And I do hope to own a Jimbo hook someday...when I can afford it and the shipping!
Thanks for all the entries! Just a couple notes.. I'm worried that some folks are thinking that this is a hook. Its not. Its a nostepinde which is a tool you use to make center pull yarn balls.
oh and Yasmine.. i seldom charge for shipping.
*perks* beeswax.. are you trying to tempt me
Purty! That would be a perfect addition to my Jimbo bush maple P hook! ;)
Beautiful!!!
Wow, amazing! Woo hoo HOO!!
I love IT!!!! You are always making great things! Someday I will own something that was made by Jimbo!
That is really cool. I am thinking about getting a winder. I am also thinking about Jimbohooks. Just need to get off my debit card and do it! LOL
Your work is beautiful Jimbo!!
please enter my name in your contest!!
This looks beautiful. I like it very much. I also like the setting in the picture.
You have an exciting blog.
What a beautiful picture. You are truly blessed to live where you do.
The Nostepinde is wonderful!
I've been begging my husband to whittle some hooks for me from dogwood while he's working hunts for GA DNR and has downtime. I would be honored to own a JIMBO hook.
Jimbo, your work is amazing!! I've never seen such lovely hooks. And that noste is gorgeous as well! I could really use one of those... ;-)
Just checked out the new hook and wow is she beautiful...you a wonder..an angel in the waiting in crochet heaven
Jimbo, What a beautiful work of art. My dad always did a ton of woodwork and I would love to watch him create. I enjoy seeing your hand-created treasures!
it looks like you're enjoying your lathe Jimbo!! making things you don't even know what are lol
How beautiful! Thanks for introducing me to the concept of a nostepinde, too :-) Please put my name in the pot, and thanks for sharing the pictures of your hooks... so far I just drool over them, but I've planted more than one seed in the mister's ear!
jimbo i love your work, even if i am not picked i still love my jimbo hooks, when i showed my sister the one i got from you when mom died she could not believe how awesome it was and said i needed to let her "borrow" it HA no way. my hook is used every day and i love how it fits my hand. hope that you have a great evening and i am waiting to see what you have new hehe
Have no idea hat that thing is but to an "old salt " like me it looks like a belaying pin. So I'm up for it.
I enjoy reading about your new hooks and whittling! I love your carvings! One day, I will get one of your hooks-preferably with an ergo handle to aid my arthritic hands! Also, would love to see an ergonomic handle that I could slide my own hooks into to use-if that is possible since hook handles vary in size. I'll let you figure it out!! Pick me to win!!
Wow, beautiful. I love the primitive look of these Nostepindes.
Love the look of the noste! What I think you need to do is to sign it in the handle area! I use noste's to wind my yarn and this looks like it would work great!
I think that this little lady looks grand...maybe I could crochet some new hair with it.
