Flamewood Hook Showoff

(click on the image to see detail of the grain in this beauty!)

Just had to show off the Flamewood in this hook, and use the new camera outside. This hook is already sold by way of an email order. I seem to be doing more hooks that way lately, from folks who want something special. Just for the record, though, the hook is made of a really beautiful hardwood called Flamewood for it's dark and red/orange colors that blend in flame-like flares. Beautiful. Trouble is, I think this might be my last piece of Flamewood. Ah but there are many other beautiful crochet hook woods, and most particularly, those nearest to my heart...DeadmanCrickwood from up on the ranch.

I do have more hooks in progress and will have some up for sale soon.

Thanks for dropping by!
Jimbo

Oh boy - I read "trouble, this may be my last piece" as you weren't making any more hooks! And then I realized, you meant PIECE of WOOD *laughs*

Almost cried because one of your hooks is on my list of "things I want for my birthday" hehehe

OOh I didn't mean to give that impression. I doubt I'll be retiring from hook making any time soon. Hook making is too dear to me to just up and quit. I admit to having a bit of a dry spell lately but I'm catching up with private orders and will have more hooks up soon. Sorry Cris!
