Just had to show off the picture I made for my Sister in Law, Trish. Its from a photo of Deadman Crick that I worked over in Paint Shop. One of my favorite pictures.
And the hook? Oh its a beauty, as you can see. Its made from Tulip Wood, which is a VERY pretty and VERY pink hardwood that makes excellent hooks. Its a G (4mm) and is 6 3/4 inches (17.15cm) long with a carved thumb flat. The grain is just spectacular, with a knot in a perfectly shaped human eye, along the handle. Heh.. I just realized the eye I'm talkin about is on the back side and you can't see it. What you do see is a pretty knot thats kind of in the shape of an eye, but the amazing eye is in the same position but on the other side of the hook. I'll post a detail picture asap.... its really incredible.
here you go... as good as I can get it without natural light....
Anyways, I'm going to make this a very short auction and finish it on Christmas Eve, 10pm Pacific time, so if you've got a Jimbo G hook with amazing grain on your wish list, there'll still be time to give your Santa a hint.
As usual, you can email bids with $5.00 raise minimums please, to me at:
To new bidders: I try to post bids as they come in. I'll not be here ALL the time though so if your bid doesn't show up right away, not to worry. Your bid will be posted as soon as Jimboly possible. Identical bids are entered by the time posted so if your bid is the same as another, I'll go by which ever one was posted first.
And if I don't see you before, have a Wonderous Christmas!!
