Blue Ribbon N SOLD for $46.00 to that Mysterious person who would remain anomonmonnous

And the bidding starts at $35.00 from Kari the Generous.
And the reporter who crochets bids an astounding $41.41!
Wait!! We have a mystery bidder, A. Non, who asked me not to reveal her/his name..... bumping the bid to 46.00!
ooooh this is getting intriguing

My Mother-In-Law was after me to enter a hook in the local interstate fair. I'd never thought to do such a thing although we regularly go to the fair to see all the handmade quilts, knitted and crocheted things. So I let her talk me into it, and entered the hook you see here... with the results you can see.
Heck, I didn't even imagine I'd get a ribbon, especially in the carving category, but I guess they had a special Old Deadmancrick Crochet Hook Whittler Fogey class and I happened to be the only entry.
So anyway, this hook comes with a pedigree, and mercenary me, always struggling to raise dough for the cabin project, am ready to put it up for bids.
This is a genuine Deadmancrick Fir hook in the N size range, about 7" long and sports some nice looking knots and a couple (see them?) little bug tunnels on opposite ends of the rust colored bark swatch on the handle.

Of course the ribbon goes with the hook (got to have pedigree papers, right?)

So, lets start the bidding on this blue ribbon hook from the Old Deadmancrick Crochet Hook Whittler Fogey class....

As per usual, please send your bids to me by email at

jimbocrochetwhittler@yahoo.com

I'll hold this auction open till oh, say next Thursday.

Thanks for dropping by!
Jimbo
